Songs for my Daughter - Bedtime Stories
Here are five songs! In fact, they’re not songs, they’re stories. But when my daughter was little, she didn’t know the difference between a song and a story, nor the difference between singing and reading. So when it was time for bed, and when we were nice and comfortable, she would ask me to sing for her.
So here are five stories that I used to sing for her. I’ve sung them so many times, I thought I’ll write them down for you too.
The stories include plenty of images for children to imagine, and they have a natural cadence which settles towards the end of the story, with imagery to help the children drift off into dreamy-kin land.
The language is appropriate for ages 4 and above.
